Pre restoration The body seems to be a no-hit body, all the original bonding strips are in place.  It is always interesting to discover what is under the paint, on one Corvette project I found a rear fender rebuilt using metal screen and plastic body filler.

Fawb body off The body has been removed form the frame and stainless and chrome is currently being removed.
Thinner and Strip I have stripped the paint from the hood and there was only one layer. The lacquer should be an easy removal. If you are using a chemical stripper to remove the paint, ensure it is fiberglass safe stripper. After removing a small area of paint, a good cleaning with lacquer thinner and second cleaning using hot soapy water and a scrub brush. I always strip small areas and immediately clean the stripped area.
