The body seems to be a no-hit body, all the original bonding strips are in place. It is always interesting to discover what is under the paint, on one Corvette project I found a rear fender rebuilt using metal screen and plastic body filler. |

I have stripped the paint from the hood and there was only one layer. The lacquer should be an easy removal. If you are using a chemical stripper to remove the paint, ensure it is fiberglass safe stripper. After removing a small area of paint, a good cleaning with lacquer thinner and second cleaning using hot soapy water and a scrub brush. I always strip small areas and immediately clean the stripped area. |

Aluminum body fixture: I should have built this aluminum fixture for my first restoration project. This fixture can be used with the car lift for working under the body as well as the engine bay. |

The aluminum fixture can also be rolled on the floor for relocating the body any where with in the shop. |
